And so Benoit Lepennec met Andrea Blasich (part2)

As usual, it can be dangerous to put a french artist and an italian sculptor on the same playground. Here you can see Andrea's method while Benoit is still fairplay, not using any Zinedine Zidane touch.

And so Benoit Lepennec met Andrea Blasich (part1)

Benoit Lepennec (www.outofpicture.com) has drawn his sketch in Alexandra's studio during Thanksgiving and then he gave the sketchbook to...Andrea Blasich (http://andreablasich.blogspot.com). Andrea is Alexandra's husband. Andrea will bring the sketchbook to Daisuke Tsutsumi in New-York in a few days.
Visit Andrea's blog at :
http://andreablasich.blogspot.com/
Andrea and Benoit used to work together at Bluesky studios in White plains, on Ice Age Movie.

Alexandra Boiger met Benoit Lepennec

Americans had a long weekend (Thanksgiving) and were able to get some things done. Benoit Lepennec (from www.outofpicture.com collective) came to visit Alexandra Boiger and Andrea Blasich, so Alexandra gave the sketchbook to him
(Andrea hadn't started yet) and he already made his sketch and has passed the Sketchbook now officially on to Andrea.
Alexandra sent me some pictures from them while they are exchanging the book. They had some fun...as you can imagine when a german, a french and an italian play together !

Welcome on board GREG !

Meanwhile in Paris, with Pierre Alary

Waiting for the return of the holy sketchbook, I visited Pierre Alary's Studio yesterday evening. Pierre didn't draw in the sketchbook yet but be sure that he's dying to bring his french touch in it as soon as possible. He showed me his incredible personal bookcase (at this level I call that a library). Specialists will recognize easily the "christmas carol" children book by Carter Goodrich and personaly signed by the illustrator (one of the most talented genious on earth) in the picture. He shares his place with some funny sculptures and original comics pages offered by his friends (Guarnido,Marini...) Pierre is living in the east of Paris and has the privilege to get a wonderful overview of the city of light (11th floor). He's currently working on the 3th album of Belladone. Visit his blog at http://pierrealary.blogspot.com/, waiting for his contribution in the sketchbook. He signed one copy for me and I can confirm the way he draws is simply amazing :fast, elegant and dynamic with a watercolour subtle touch. It's christmas soon, and if you don't know what offering to your family and friends, I highly recommend "Belladone".

Claude William Trebutien added his art in the sketchbook and believe me,you can recognize his hilarious cartoon touch with a wink at his famous "Burning Safari" short movie and at Ice Age.
Meeting him again was an opportunity to discover his funny studio : a Kind of Toy shop dedicated to cartoons. His girlfriend, Stephanie, is a photographer and took this very nice picture of Claude William drawing. We'll use this shot in the Official Website soon. Keep an eye on her too, she's very talented.
